CANTERBURY PARK

Public BBQ

Canterbury Park offers a spacious, open layout with basic play equipment positioned near the road. The park features an agility course designed for dogs, plus a designated dog park area, though visitors should be aware that dog owner etiquette can vary. A drone section exists on the grounds but isn't clearly marked. The wide, inviting space works well for casual visits and even provides swings for those seeking a quiet moment. Street parking is generally available when the park isn't busy. However, the park has one significant drawback: biting insects. Midges and mosquitoes are a persistent problem, particularly in warmer months, which keeps crowds away and can make extended visits uncomfortable. Winter visits are considerably more pleasant when insect activity drops off. The peaceful atmosphere makes it worthwhile during cooler months, but prepare for bugs if visiting in summer.
